• 1 egg
• 1 cup sugar
• ½ cup butter
• 1 cup white syrup
• 1 teaspoon soda
• 1 teaspoon ginger
• 1 teaspoon cinnamon
• 4 cups flour
• last add 1 cup boiling water

Mix in the order given (adding the boiling water last)

Let stand at least 20 minutes

Drop by teaspoon onto lightly greased cookie sheet

Bake at 350 degree for 12-15 minutes

Top with brown sugar icing!
