Cranberry Bread
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 4 tablespoons hot water
  • 1 teaspoon soda
  • 4 cups flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3 cups whole cranberries
  • 1 cup nut meats

Blend eggs with sugar; add melted butter, orange juice and hot water

Combine flour, baking powder, soda and salt; add to egg mixture

Fold in cranberries and nuts

Pour into greased and floured 7 ½ by 3¾ by 2¼ loaf pans

Bake at 325 degrees for 40 minutes

Makes for 4 loaves
